Inicio Monuments Civil Heritage Town Hall
In the same area as Plaza de España stands this building, which dates back to the 16th century, though there is no documentation available. It was rehabilitated by architect José Ramón Berenguer in 1864 and has undergone several renovations since then.
The base that supports the building is original from the first town hall, with a Parisian-style design and a double staircase as a symbol of power.
The Council Chamber retains its classic aesthetic and original structure, preserving the original railings. As a nod to the original design, a framed opening was left in the ceiling, where we can see the original ceiling of the room.
